The UniDesk service is supported and managed by HEFESTIS for all members. As with the nature of the shared service, non-for-profit approach, all work is carried out on a time and material basis with full transparency included on the effort involved from a HEFESTIS perspective.
The membership costs associated with the UniDesk service are based on a pricing model that is transparent and based on institution size determined by their JISC banding. Each year the full running costs of the service are calculated and presented to the members for ratifying.
UniDesk is an enterprise service management offering so you can freely use it across all areas of the institution with as many operators and Service Desks as you wish. Members do not need to be concerned with additional licencing costs as their services expand; there is no limit on the scaling usage.
There is an initial joining fee which is based on the foreseen costs of on boarding a
member with the standard UniDesk subscription (Call Management, Knowledge Management, Self-Service, and Quick Calls). The cost of this is determined after an initial requirement gathering session. Onboarding costs assume a baseline level of maturity on product and process adoption. Those wishing to adopt an enhanced level of maturity or take on additional modules at the point of Go Live should expect a higher onboarding cost.
